Road to the final -> Playing a pre final
Imagine facing each other in a game, when you know that you will play against each other again in the big final the day after. That scenario the teams FBS Bohemians DDM Praha and SV Wiler Ersigen in Invitational Trophy got to experience today.
Before the last game in the group stage, it was already set that the teams in the final was going to be the Czech and Swiss teams.
After the group final or “pre final”, we can definitely put an advantage before the final on the team from Praha.
By winning 9-3, it menas that the Bohemian guys can have good night sleep before the final tomorrow, but we must keep in mind that the swiss team rested a few players that was doubtful (injuries). But we can certainly count with the players tomorrow. Two of the resting guys was Marc André and Noah.
– We have played a lot of games during the last couple of days, and it is tough. But we will play tomorrow, Marc André said.
What can you say about your opponents?
– They are really physical and big, and good skillfully team.
Mattias Krebner, who is the captain of FBS Bohemians DDM Praha thinks it special to play against a team you knows will be their upcoming opponents in the final.
– I have never played against the same team in the group stage as in the final. It’s interesting, Mattias said.
Even if his team took a big advantage by winning the pre final, he admits that it hasn’t benefits for the final.
– In floorball you can score four, five goals in one minut, so you’ll never know. But we know are opponents well, we have watched all their games, Mattias said.
After the final whistle in the saturday’s game, the both teams were shaking hands and using the words “see you tomorrow”.
The final starts 14.30 tomorrow at Lisebergshallen, and the winner will be a historical winner.
